ALIA Magazine Receives International Digital Culture Award at Digeat Festival 2025
ALIA Magazine, which aims to open new spaces at the intersection of law, technology, art, and digital ethics, has achieved a significant milestone on the international stage.
At the recent Digeat Festival 2025 held in Lecce, ALIA was among the recipients of the Rivista DIGEAT Awards. The award was accepted on behalf of the magazine by its Editor-in-Chief, Sema Selek, during the festival’s closing ceremony.
This prestigious recognition highlights ALIA’s rapidly growing impact through its interdisciplinary contributions on digital culture, artificial intelligence, data protection, innovative governance models, and the transformation of art in the digital age.

Digeat Festival 2025: One of the Leading Events on Digital Culture
Organised in collaboration with the Puglia Region, the festival brought together academics, legal professionals, data specialists, creative industry representatives, and public-sector leaders from across Europe and the Mediterranean.
Panels and workshops explored a diverse range of topics, including open data, cybersecurity, AI ethics, digital sustainability, digital transformation policies, and social innovation.
ALIA’s Vision Recognized
Accepting the award on behalf of the magazine, Editor-in-Chief Sema Selek shared the following remarks:

Our goal is to build a publishing model that strengthens knowledge exchange at both national and international levels, gives voice to young researchers, and encourages interdisciplinary thinking.

This recognition demonstrates that ALIA is not only a magazine, but also an emerging cultural and academic bridge within the global digital landscape.
New International Collaborations on the Horizon
Throughout the festival’s panels and academic sessions, ALIA established new connections with institutions, scholars, and professionals from Italy, the Balkans, and the wider Mediterranean region.
In the coming period, ALIA plans to develop;international co-publishing projects, academic collaborations across Europe and beyond, thematic dossiers on AI governance and digital ethics, special issues dedicated to art and digital culture.
