Dr. Lecturer Osman Gazi Güçlütürk

Dr. Osman Gazi Güçlütürk is a faculty member at Galatasaray University Faculty of Law. He earned his law degree from Galatasaray University and holds master's degrees from Ankara University, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and the University of Oxford. He completed his PhD at Galatasaray University with a dissertation on the lawful use of data in machine learning-based artificial intelligence under Turkish law. Dr. Güçlütürk previously served as a lecturer and department head at Boğaziçi and Kırklareli Universities. His academic work focuses on AI law, IT law, data protection, and regulation of emerging technologies. He has authored numerous articles and book chapters on blockchain, crypto-assets, metaverse governance, and digital market regulations, and has contributed to commentary on the EU AI Act and Digital Markets Act. He has also been a visiting fellow at Yale Law School’s Information Society Project and currently works as Policy, Legal and Regulatory Lead at Holistic AI.
